Firstly, you should find a bowl which size is suitable for the pearl size and the strand length. And then put warm water and soap into the bowl. It doesn’t need too much water at once in the bowl.
Secondly, wet a large sponge with warm water, and wash the pearls thoroughly. Gently scrub each pearl to get rid of any dirt. Do not forget to clean the thread because oils and dirt from your skin will easily collect here.
Thirdly, Wash off the soapy water. Empty the bowl and add fresh, warm water and to wash the soap off.
At last, Use a soft cloth, such as a chamois cloth, to dry the pearls. Since soft cloth can not scratch the surface. Do pat it dry in a very gentle manner.
